Anneliese Louise van der Pol was born on September 23,1984 in Naaldwijk, Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands  
to Wim van der Pol & Dyan Ross. While still a young girl, Anneliese moved to the United States, and still
retains dual Dutch/American citizenship. While pregnant with Anneliese, Dyan visited the house where the
late Anne Frank hid from the Nazis during World War 2. Dyan was so moved by the experience that she
decided to name her youngest daughter after her. Anneliese is very proud of this fact and deems it "appropriate"
as she and her family are Jewish. Anneliese has 2 older sisters named Sarah, who is an actress & Rachel who is
an artist.

At the age of 9, Anneliese performed in her first play called "The Good Times are killing Me" at the Long
Beach Playhouse in the role of "Lucy". At the age of 15, Anneliese was selected to play the role of Eva Peron in
the musical "Evita" for the Buena Park Civic Theater, securing Anneliese's place in US theatrical history
when she became the youngest person ever to play the role in a professional production.  A year later,
Anneliese played the role of Laurey in "Oklahoma". She also played "Sandy" in a production of "Grease". An
accomplished dancer, she altso portrayed "Clara" in "The Nutcracker".

In 2001 Anneliese decided to audition for a TV show called "That's so Raven" for the part of "Chelsea
Daniels".   At first Anneliese did not get the part. However, they fired the girl they originally picked after just
3 days, and brought Anneliese in. This is perhaps one of her best known roles. While a member of the cast,
Anneliese contributed her impressive & powerful vocals to several projects, including the show's theme song.
Anneliese performed the song "Alone In The Hallways" during the episode "Road To Audition". Anneliese
appeared on the "That's So Raven Too!" soundtrack, where she performed the song "A Day In The Sun" as well
as contributed vocals to the songs "Friends" w/ Raven, & "Let's Stick Together" w/Raven and Kyle Massey.

Anneliese also contributed her powerful and impressive vocals to the song "Candle On The Water" for the
Disney Mania 4 cd, as well as the song "Over It" for the soundtrack to the Disney Channel Original Movie
"Stuck In The Suburbs", she also was featured on the Disney Channel Circle Of Stars' songs "Circle of Life"
& "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes".  

Not long after the end of "That's So Raven", Anneliese auditioned for the role of "Belle" in Broadway's
"Beauty & The Beast". On April 3, 2007, Anneliese made her Broadway debut in Beauty and the Beast. During
this time, Anneliese made several live appearances in NYC, most notably making her second appearance on
"Live w/Regis & Kelly" where she performed the song "A Change In Me". On July 29, 2007, Anneliese made
her final appearance as "Belle", for on this night the show closed its doors forever.

Late last year Anneliese returned to NYC in the Off-Broadway production of the show "Vanities" . The show
wrapped in August 2009. She then played the role of Esther Smith in the TUTS production of "Meet Me In St.
Louis", which wrapped in September of 2009.  Anneliese then flew to Israel to film a bit role in "Shalom
Sesame". The episode, which discusses the Hanukkah celebration will air in December of this year.
